There are many ways to draw a beautiful ,fuller looking rose.My method is pretty simple and requires basic skills to draw a cute rose.
MATERIAL:
Derwent 2B 4B pencils
Kneaded Eraser
Sketchbook
Blending stumps
STEP 1: How to draw a rose
In your sketck book outline the basic round shape.Now put big inverted comma like shape in the center of the circle. Once you have the round and comma shape in place ,start drawing petals inside and around the circle in organic shapes.It should look something like this :
STEP 2:Follow the Light in your drawing
Now that you have the rose drawing ready,you can outline it in darker shade and smudge the color in with paper stump. There is another way to put form into your drawing and that is you decide the direction of light for your drawing.And change the gradients of colors accordingly. If you work with light direction in your drawing your composition will have form and life in it.Practice drawing any subject you like by dividing it in simple geometric form.
Then use organic and flowy forms to render it more realistically.
Lastly when you ll finish it off by keeping source of light in mind and shade or color from dark to light ,you ll be able to draw like a Pro.I will be soon uploading video on youtube for this blogpost.Watch out for more.
