DIY modern calligraphy font in three easy steps Al Khaliqu Al Maliku
Today i ll share with you how i created this calligraphy in my Art studio last week.The method is easy to follow and you can make font calligraphy Art at home with some practice.
Step 1
Tools and materials for arabic font calligraphy:
- Calligraphy Inks
- Reed Pens (Qalam)
- Smooth calligraphy paper
- Compass
Step 2
Lay out the composition on paper using pencil and compass.Draw circles and basic shape of your composition before going into inks.You should know what you want you work to look like in the end ; so do composition on rough paper and select colors that you want tro use in your art piece.
For skilled calligraphers they can go straight on canvas or paper with inks and qalam.A good source to learn arabic alphabet writing is here:

Step 3
With compostion and pencil work in place ,use Qalam dipped in inks of your desired colors and start making strokes. Use different sized qalams to make your Artwork interesting.I used calligraphy pen of fine size to write in the circle and for scatterd strokes and alphabets i used reed pen.
Calligraphy requires some practice to write words perfectly.The measurement of Arabic alphabets is done by using rhomboids,dots and circle.
